Much has been happening at Hawaii Community College-Palamanui and the University Center, West Hawaii at Palamanui since their openings in August 2015.
Carrie Kuwada Phipps, educational specialist for the University Center, will host three outreach events with updates about the campus in February at the Kailua-Kona Library. The outreach events are scheduled for 3-5 p.m. Feb. 5, 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 6 and 3-5 p.m. Feb. 9.
Kuwada Phipps will showcase all the programs offered through the new campus, which include certificates, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, post-graduate certificates, master’s and doctorate degrees and noncredit offerings.
She also will discuss Palamanui’s Grand Opening and Community Open House event happening Feb. 27, the progressive Community Landscaping Project, free upcoming workshops and on-site help with the fall 2016 online application process.
Now is the ideal time to apply for fall 2016 and because the financial aid priority deadline is March 1.
